Transforming interoperability from a nice to have concept to an absolute necessity across the care continuum

Within the last decade, interoperability has transformed the healthcare landscape. National health information exchanges (HIEs) like CommonWell Health Alliance, along with state HIEs, have created robust data exchange capabilities. Scalable and secure cross-industry exchanges, such as DirectTrust and ePrescribe, have standardized engagements with the patients' care team and/or retail pharmacies. As a result, health systems are less dependent on patients supplying their own medical record at the point of care. In this session, a panel of industry experts will explain how interoperability is integrated within their organizations to streamline patient care.
