Choosing Wisely Champions: creating a robust utilization program for diagnostic testing

In this session, Sachin Gupta, PhD, MBA, MT(ASCPi)MB, LSSBB, CPHQ, from BayCare Health System, will share information related to the development and management of a successful utilization program. In fall 2020, ASCP recognized him as a Choosing Wisely Champion because of the organization's work related to utilization management tools to help manage the appropriateness of diagnostic testing. He'll discuss BayCare's process for determining and implementing initiatives and how it measures success and benefits. You'll also hear examples of utilization initiatives that have resulted in substantial savings.
